I've just had a pretty bad time coming out to my parents; any funny coming out stories to cheer me up?

my real one wasn't really all that funny....it involved a ton of panic really

but for the sake of cheering you up i have one for someone i know

his dad had been asking him for a couple of years if he liked guys (because he never showed any interest in girls and usually shy ed away from talking about them whenever it was brought up). On his 18th birthday, his dad must've really wanted to know, because he hired 2 dancers for him, 1 girl and 1 guy. You know where it went from there....

He got a stiffy for the guy (who danced after the girl), he was outed and he says it was pretty much the most embarrassing moment of his life but their closer because of it. His dad says he just wanted him to be happy and comfortable with himself.

I really don't have a funny coming out story, but it may cheer you up to know that at first it was a shock when I came out...and it quickly just became normal for everyone. Sometimes I forget there was a time when people didn't know I was into girls. So weird.

Anyway, I'm so glad to hear you're out there! You may not know this, but the fact that you did helps other LGBT as a whole, by showing people just how many of us there are. Hopefully one day, queer people won't even need to be known as LGBT, and they won't be considered so different from everyone else..because they're honestly not. We're all equally different.
