In the Amazing Spiderman, why didn't Dr. Connors get a prosthetic limb?
I know it would have killed the plotline, but I just realized this. Wouldn't it have saved him so much time and energy to just get a robotic hand for himself, or was there something in the movie that said he couldn't for some reason?

Nowadays, you could say vanity, but back in the 1960s when the character first appeared, the technology behind prosthetics was nowhere near as good as it is now.
But no official reason was ever given within the comic books that I can recall.
