Univ. of Washington (Seattle) vs. UC Davis?

I cannot decide between University of Washington (Seattle) or University of California (Davis). I've lived in California my whole life, but enjoyed Seattle's environment when I visited just this week.

I have visited both schools (though I didn't get to see the dorms at UCD), and find both campuses to be wonderful.

I'm hoping to major in Bio/ Medicine. If I choose UW, I would head for their Nursing program. Any feedback on their school of nursing? Is it hard to get into? Are the professors/ labs/ TA's good?

For UCD, I'd probably choose a bio major. How are those programs/ classes?

Seattle seems so lively and fun, but it's so far from home. UC Davis is closer, but I don't know how good their bio/ medicine programs are.

I am not considering the financial aspect at this moment. So please give me feedback on both school's teachers, majors, clubs, etc.

I have until May 1, 2013 to decide. Any thoughts on either/ both schools is greatly appreciated!

Yay a UCD question! I am a current student at Davis and I turned down the University of Michigan, Boulder, BC, BU, and others to be here. I love the school and it is an amazing science school (I am also in bio sci). The UCD dorms are hit or miss but nothing is too bad and the best ones are really nice. I have had success for most teachers except in Calculus, but I just had to take a few quarters anyhow. The classes are really hard, I got a 4.0 without trying and now I struggle to get much above a 3.0 so I urge you to take it easy your first year, regardless of where you go. I really love the school and all it has to offer. If you want more advice, information you can leave your email. Otherwise good luck college hunting!

Oh, weather, it is really warm in the Summer here and very mild in the winter. I am comparing it to the Bay Area.

uw is impressive! it wasn't my first determination, even if it changed into inexpensive considering the fact that i changed into in state. i changed into extra usually than not became off by technique of the dimensions of the college, yet i rapidly chanced on many procedures to become in touch to make it smaller. i lived in a dorm (lander-- the freshman basically dorm) which turned right into a good thanks to fulfill people. multiple issues to become in touch with like pupil businesses which made it look like a smaller campus to me. uw is portion of the wue (western undergraduate substitute application) and nse (nationwide pupil substitute application) that were solid possibilities to attend different colleges then come again to uw. tremendous practise as a frosh, which, like many universities, dwindle down as you get into your major. loads of places to stroll to and downtown is only a short bus experience away. i loved living on the outskirts of the city, and having the alternative to bypass into the large city at the same time as i needed.
