I have a question about short women, and wedding dresses.?
What styles look good on short women? I'm 5'1" and I doubt ill be getting any taller than maybe 5'2", so I was wondering, what kind of dress would a vertically challenged women wear?

You never know what's going to look best on you, despite your total height. It depends much more on how you're built and how clothes look on you - long legs vs. short torso or short legs vs. long torso, or big chest vs. flat chested - can make big difference in what you choose. There is no one style that will look good on someone just because they are short. You'll just have to try on many different styles to know for sure. The only thing that may be a problem is if you choose something with an elaborate bottom/edge that may be compromised when the dress is shortened. But, any good seamstress will know how to do that properly with the least amount of design lost.

that is not being vertically challenged. 5'2" is not really considered to be drastically short. but the best styles are ones that give the illusion of length so empire waists or sheath style dresses or the currently popular high-low hem with the front higher than the back, or a grecian style.
avoid anything with a detailed or emphasied waistline and draw the eye up and down by having long smooth lines and flowing fabrics. put your detailing into the bust, arms or shoulder area.
wearing your hair in an updo always adds to the illusion of height and of course put on those high heels.

Hi I'm 5'0 and I tried many on, the best were a line, empire waist, trumpet shape
I was surprised at the amount of styles that worked spite of my height, the main things to consider s large detail eg over sized flowers, heavy beading and full length lace did not work for me, so u may or ya not want to hear it but the less detail the better. Detail on the top is good as it draws the eye up
You just got to go and try on a few shapes for yourself

i'm plus-sized myself. i do no longer think of there is one trouble-free answer for this question, by fact each and every woman has a different shape, even whilst very comparable in top and weight. different varieties emphasize and/or tender out different factors of a woman's determine. i does no longer be shocked that there are long clothing that would suit some short, plus sized females all right certainly. in case you have chanced on a dress which you like, and it relatively is long, then it particularly is staggering. till, for sure, you particularly *needed* a quick dress. sturdy success finding the proper dress for you.

Honestly, the best thing you can do is just try on a variety of styles. I'm 5'1" and I think I tried on about 15 gowns. I ended up buying a halter-top, empire waist gown with a "floaty" skirt. My mom's favorite on me was this poofy dress that I thought looked nice, but made me feel like a cup cake.

I'm 4'11" and when I got married last year I wore a strapless dress with sequins/beading and it had a flower decal all on the bottom of it, including the train. The dress was also a drop-waist but it looked great on me. Unfortunately, I had to get some of the dress cut off because it was too long for me but the good thing was that I didn't have to get rid of the flower decals that I liked so much. But in order to avoid cutting them off, I had to wear a crinoline slip underneath my dress so my dress would flare out a little bit more. I also wore some shoes to make me look taller (high wedged shoes). But the shoes were very uncomfortable, my feet were killing me by the end of the day (especially my toes).

Please stop wasting peoples' time. You're 15 years old, meaning you're not a "vertically challenged woman". You're a growing child. And don't worry about your wedding dress until you're ready to look at them, which hopefully isn't for about 10 years.

Avoid anything with a dropped waist or with a mermaid style, as those could make your legs look short.
So long as the dress is high-waisted, it should make your legs look long. Poofy things tend to swallow short girls so if you can avoid princessy type dresses.

It depends on the girl's point of view. To be able to be honest, I like longer tresses on guys, they certainly know how to express their own style and it makes me happy
