Is Dubai too hot to visit in early August?
My family and I are thinking about going to Dubai on holidays, and July or August is really the only time of year we could go at being off work and college etc.
Is it bearable this time of year? I mean we are used to going to places with heat during the summer such as Las Vegas, Florida and California. I know at about 2-3pm the heat is unbearable, so what we were thinking is what would it be like if we lay on the beach early in the morning and also at about 7 or 8 in the evenings to avoid the heat? And then during the heat of the day shopping and sightseeing (indoors mostly where there is air conditioning)?
Would that work? What are the average temperatures in August? And what would the temperature be like at about 10 in the morning and at 8 at night?
Thanks for your help!

It doens't matter if 10 am or 8 pm in July and August it will be to hot for any outdoor activities. Humidity can be as high as 99% and temperatures can easily reach 45 grad celsius+. No cooling off neither at night nor early in the morning and the gulf is warm as bathwater. Staying in a hotel with a cooled pool - different story.
Sightseeing in an airconditioned bus - fine like also shopping in any malls.
UAE residents able to leave the country during these months will do so:)

It can be very hot , but I have never seen temps above 46 in my life here , so I don't know what Big Fish means by 48-55 unless he put the thermometer inside the hood of the car engine , then in that case it can be true.
Again this is what you would expect for high temps , that doesn't mean it stays like that all day , usually from 1 to 5 PM is hottest. Many Dubai residents still do their usual outdoor activities (with some exceptions) before 10 AM or in some days that are more bearable than others.
Other people do things at night , but also the summer night here can feel worse than the day if the humidity is very high. That means going to areas away from the coast will minimize that problem.
Dubai feel in summer is a lot like Florida heat , not like Vegas as there is no humidity in Vegas.
But there are other places in UAE where yo can find lower temps or lesser humidity . Also it can feel worse in Dubai because of it being a city with traffic, shipping, AC's, car engines, & other such heat generating activities. Those huge concrete buildings do a good job in blocking natural air jets which normally bring cooler air , which is a natural ventilation system that humans messed up and now they are paying the price.
Low summer temps will be around upper 30's like 38 most of the time. The temps don't go down until late October or early November it starts getting better. But with current weather mess around the world you can never tell.

Dubai will be extremely hot during those months! Usually around 48-55 degrees Celsius. It will be really hot for you to lie on a beach or be out in although if you cool off in the sea/pool I think you would be okay, usually people who live there go away for those months to avoid such heat, the humidity is also real bad and a pain when you have frizzy hair!

Las Vegas is really a town that's something for all therefore learn it with hotelbye . Las Vegas is really a city with great attractions and one particular is the famous Las Vegas Strip; the place where tourists can enjoy a walk in the warm leave night, or have a stroll downtown and view a dazzling gentle reveal that spans a complete street, the Fremont Street Experience. Guests can also get a view of remarkable world popular re-creations like erupting volcanoes, the Eiffel Tower and the Sphinx of Egypt in front of the different accommodations and casinos. Las Vegas is a city that repeatedly reinvents it self, therefore even although you have already been here before you'll never go out of enjoyment what to do.
