    Both changed things, but Michael Jackson took it to a different level.

    The important factor being that he was black and he reached more people from different races, age groups, and cultures than Elvis Presley. That in itself was unprecedented.

    And from the subtle to the out-right obvious you can see his influence in just about every music entertainer today.
