Locked/Unlocked iPhone 4?
Okay so I have an almost 3-year old Droid. It's getting to the point where it is VERY, VERY slow, freezing up all the time, shutting off by itself, battery not lasting 6 hours. It's just worn out! I do not have an available upgrade so I was planning on buying an iPhone 4 off of Amazon. If I buy a locked iPhone 4 what does what exactly does that mean? How will I be able to activate it? How much would this cost and would it be a hassle?
-I have Verizon if that makes a difference.
Thank you!

If you have Verizon and want to buy an iPhone, I would suggest upgrading to the iPhone 5 directly from Verizon. However, if you want to purchase an iPhone elsewhere, you need to buy:
iPhone CDMA version. (either UNLOCKED or the VERIZON version)
If you purchase a CDMA iPhone then Verizon can activate it for you easily and you'll have the same number.
Note that the iPhone GSM version (used on AT&T and T-Mobile) or GSM UNLOCKED will NOT WORK on the Verizon network.
CDMA networks:
Verizon
Sprint
GSM networks:
AT&T
T-Mobile
