How to get the person to stop ignoring me?

A month ago I broke up with this guy after we've been dating for a while, and it was a beautiful relationship, the only reason why i broke it off was because I didn't know what would happen when he left for college and I'm left behind. Afterwards we still talked, he wanted us to get back together, and to be honest I did too. But then two weeks ago he went out to lunch with an ex and that got me really mad because I thought it was him betraying me in some way.

So it was bad of me but I wanted to get back at him and I invited this guy who he's always been jealous of to ice skating with me and a few friends and afterwards he took me out for dessert. Well that night I texted him and he sounded really hurt, and he called me a liar and said that he was going to try to mend things and he didn't tell any of his family members or his friends about our breakup in hopes of us getting back together.

And then the next day he started acting cold over text, and he told all his friends that I was going on a date with that other guy when it wasn't a date. And then the next day he started ignoring me completely, and after I kept trying to reach him just to talk about things, he called me a stalker to all his friends.

I'm completely lost and it's been two weeks since he started ignoring me, I think I'm succeeding in getting over him but I don't know what would happen the next time I see him...
