If you were to buy one full auto NFA item, what would it be?
I'd pick up an Ar-15 myself. Yes,it is like $15,000,but you have so many different choices for the $15,000. .22 .223 5.45x39 7.62x39 .300 black out 6.5 6.8 and many many more all on one lower and the cost for a new upper is between $250 (cheap .22 lrs) to maybe $800 unless you get crazy with options,$800 is a lot but it's like getting a new gun. I'm talking pre ban scare prices,I have no clue what all this stuff is going for now.
Bill a Tommy gun would be pretty badass.
Space cowboy, there were plenty of Ar-15s converted to full auto before 1986.

I think I would go with the RPKS. At least then I could afford to shoot it every so often.

probably AR15 also, but a Tec 9 KG-9 if I can find one. NFA tec-9s are not common, most were converted illegally.
or maybe just a soviet KPV 14.5mm heavy machine gun. I want different. too many people have a .50 BMG rifle or M2 machine gun.
my reasons for wanting a tec-9 is about the same as a rich guy wants an exotic european supercar. because america is a free country (it's supposed to be) and I shouldn't need to come up with any reasons to get something besides that I want it.
Source(s): tec-9 purely for fun. if there's ever anything for wasting ammo the tec-9 is it. it's not known for accuracy, range or power. it's inappropriate for hunting or target shooting. it doesn't have much sporting use. it's just one of those guns that is there for our enjoyment... & wasting ammo. - C T MLv 78 years ago
Probably an AK74 since ammo is still so cheap for it. A full auto requires frequent feeding, and I don't want to spend $1000 dollars in ammo in one day by shooting a 223.

I would get a WW1 Browining 1919 tripod mounted, belt fed machine gun. Or maybe one of those water colled Vickers that work the same way. There is just something about a belt fed weapon that really strikes my fancy..... the older belt feeds are pretty cool with the nice cloth belt.

I wouldn't want a full auto. It serves no real purpose for me and burns through ammo too quickly. And I've owned a slidefire stock for one of my AR's and while they are fun for the moment that you're using them, the (simulated) full auto fire rate isn't all that useful. I'll take a nice silencer for a pistol. I'd have more fun being able to shoot in my backyard with that and not having neighbors call the police on me (like happened with the slidefire). .

I've always wanted an MP5SD. It is a good deal as far as the NFA requirements because you get both the selective fire and the silencer for one fee.

M-60, which is a 23 pound machine gun, 7.62mm, 550 rounds per minute, belt fed, maximum effective range 4.2 miles. You saw Rambo tear up a town with one.
Source(s): They cost about $30,000 now.
