Former law enforcement spouse stalking me...?

Hi,

Does anyone know how to submit a freedom of information act request in Canada to find out if anyone has access my driver's license information or cellphone location?

I have strong reasons to believe my previous girlfriend, who was both extremely jealous and a law enforcement officer may be illegally accessing my driver's license or cellphone location. I've gotten "feedback" from her brother asking me how come I'm always in such and such location, etc.

It's very creepy, but at the same time I don't want to call the police and make baseless accusations.

I'm from Montreal, Canada.

How the heck did you pick her?

I can answer the question for you without having to mail in a a FOIA request.

    - yes many people have access to your driver's license info (police, insurance co, private detectives, credit bureaus, new car dealers, bail bondsmans etc)

    - the cell phone can only be accessed a by a cell phone employee, or after obtaining a subpoena

    - if you installed an app on your iphone, such as find my iphone or google latitude, then anyone can access it who was added as a friend.

    - also when you post in facebook it logs your location as well.

If she's a cop, chances are you will have a tough time getting the law on your side. If I was you I would file a restraining order, phone calls and "tracking" included in its limitations. Site the reasons for the restraining order, your not pressing charges, just trying to regain your freedom. If her job is on the line, privately, without bringing charges or accusations, she might think twice about risking her career to find out what Starbucks you're at.
