My car is at 120,000 miles and the alternator just went out, can I expect any future problems?
Im in the process of getting the alternator replaced but I need to know if the Alternator going out could be a precursor to future car issues. Im contemplating trading it in because I feel as if the dealership I bought it from was untrustworthy.

well this is a tricky question. at 120,000 miles its totally common for an alternator to go out. every 50-60k miles is recommended. but the thing is, how well is your vehicle maintained? its starting to get older, so obviously its time some stuffs gonna start goin bad. thats just a reality. but if your cars in good solid condition then i wouldnt worry about it. things will need to be replaced. you just dont want it t nickel and dime you.

Have you thought about this question before you wrote it and did you proof read it after? So you have a bad alternator and you want to know if there is something else that could go wrong, I'd say maybe wouldn't you. And you want to trade the car in not because there could be something coming but for the fact you don't think the dealer is trust worthy. You have gone a long way the wrong way.
