What places regularly hire 16 year olds?
I recently turned 16 and need a job. I applied to about a dozen places, two (Panera+Steak'n'Shake) of which called me in for the first interview and said they'd call for a second (they have yet to). I have been looking for a place to work (preferably not McDonald's or something like that) but I have had no luck. What are some restaurants that hire under 18? What places are usually hiring 16 year olds with no prior work experience? What are good places to apply? Is it normal to be rejected for apps often? thank you!

Do local stores. Or high brand ones for teens. Like restaurants or clothing stores like ***** Sporting Goods, Foot Locker, Finish Line, maybe try stores in malls?

The Government has given up on teenagers and so have most employers.
So all I have to say is Good Luck with finding a job :)

Rejection is normal. The problem you are facing is age restrictions. Work in grocery bagging, an internship, or fast food until you are old enough to take non internships.
