Doesn't a poem have to be read at least twice before being considered red?

Thoughts

“Words” are the leaves that grow

From branches in the mind

And cover our thoughts with color,

And always fall... in time—

“Poems” are the lawn beneath

Where we hide in the shade

And our souls frolic bare footed,

Catching the thoughts... once made—

“Time” is yellowed paper

That holds them forever

Or at least long enough, for us,

To forget them... never—

Update:

Happy Spring Everyone!

Update 2:

David, I'm not sure I like your tone.

Update 3:

Day.vid, not sure I like yours neither.

you've made the cliche unique lower back. And, in my view, the in uncomplicated words reason a cliche turns into cliche is because that's so damn solid that folk could keep utilising over and yet yet again. i became speaking with a buddy very last nighttime; she pointed Mars out to me. I requested if she ought to verify my living house. That were given relaxing, and then many questions. proper poem.

Mix! I reserve my Wows for a few only on this board but, I would say you are deserving of a Wow on your piece.

The comparison of leaves and WORDS great. Same with TIME and yellowed paper.

Well thought out, well posted and well worth reading..
