Can the birds infected with bird flu in China that are being slaughtered end up in pet food?

It should be common knowledge that euthanized animals are used in our dog and cat food here in the US. (as are road kill, diseased farm animals, etc) How are the birds with bird flu that are being slaughtered in China 'disposed' of? I haven't been able to find any articles about it.

All the more reason not to buy supermarket junk with ingredients from China -- get your dog decent kibble.
