Does anyone know why some dogs do white poo?
There seems to be less of it these days compared with 30 years ago but it can still be seen in out of the way places.

Dogs that eat raw bones have poop that dries out white due to the high amount of calcium in the bones.
In the old days almost all dogs had lots of bones from the butchers fed to them but nowadays not so many are fed bones and just eat commercial dried dog food.
My dogs often have raw bones to eat and pass light coloured motions which dry out white.

When a dog is fed mainly meat, especially BONES, their stools will reflect this. These days, with complete diets, especially those with little (or no!) meat in them, you are more likely to see mush. Which is why although I do use a complete diet, I always go for something that at least lists meat, or fish, as the main ingredient.

Its all down to how much calcium they consume, say, if they eat a lot of bones or rawhide. Its nothing bad but maybe it suggests that the diet should be a bit more balanced- it also could be a result of colouring in the food :)
