Ricky Hatton vs Naseem Hamed - p4p match up?

1. Who fought the better opposition?

2. Who achieved more?

3. If both were the same weight who wins and why?

Update:

@Maravilla, I have to respectfully disagree with you on two points.

Hatton was at one time ranked number one at light welterweight not fourth, he was even awarded the Ring magazine belt at 140. .

Hatton didn't have a great chin but I wouldn't call it poor, he was worn down by Mayweather but took some heavy shots before going down, then there was the Pacquiao loss when he was past his best. Don't forget though tha Mayweather and Pacquiao were the best around at that time, as for his recent loss, he should never have took that fight.

Hello sir and excellent and difficult question/s to answer but I'll give it my best shot. If they could have fought it would have been entertaining with lights out action, that's for certain! That being said, I will answer this the best I can.

    1. Both fought at a high level of competition with Hatton taking on such fighters as Mayweawther Jr, Pacquiao, Malignaggi, Castillo and Tszyu and Hamed taking on Barerra, Vazquez, Kelley, Molina and Medina. Overall I have to give the nod to Hatton on this one.

    2. Who achieved more? Well both were World Champions via the different boxing organizations with Hatton being the light welterweight Champ and Hamed the super bantam and featherweight Champ so on this one I'm giving it a draw.

    3. If both were the same weight I believe it would have been a slugfest of epic proportions that in reality could hae went either way as both had crunching punching power with Hatton having 32 kayo's in 48 fights and Hamed having 31 kayo's in 37 fights. Hamed was never stopped so I give him both the chin advantage and the speed advantage. All thins being fair, I believe that Hamed would win a razor sharp split decision.

    1) Naseem fought everyone in the top 5 in his weight except for Morales. Hatton fought Mayweather and Pacqiuao. I dont really know

    2) Naseem was rated one of the best of his weight. Hatton was rated 4th best of his weight

    3) Naseem punch power wins him the fight, Hatton had a poor chin.

    1. Hatton, I think, fought better competition. Naseem chose his opponents and he ducked Luisito Espinosa no end.

    2. Hamed. He was one of the faces of 90's boxing along with Roy Jones and Evander Holyfield, among others.

    3. Hamed. He's faster and has superior boxing skills.
