Tips on losing weight?

I am 19 years old, and I weigh a little over 200 pounds.

My brother is in a Air Force base, getting stronger, while I sit home almost every day playing video games, and getting progressively weaker then him.

He is getting home in a little under 2 months, and I want to surprise him by losing a bunch of weight, so he doesn't consider me as weak, or something.

I just want to make him proud of me.

I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to lose a lot of weight in a short amount of time, with no cost.

I have a work out DVD, hip hop abs, or something like that. but I am not very fond of dancing, and only want to use it if absolutely needed.

I am going to be using my dads weights along with him everyday as well, but I do not know any exercises beyond bench pressing and curling them.

I also would like to know if things such as push ups and sit ups and jumping jacks would truly help me lose any weight. Any help is grateful, thanks to everyone for their answers :)

    not only will you get in some exercise you re less likely to choose something unhealthy after a little movement

    Stop hunger pangs while dieting by eating foods that keep you full

    add red pepper flakes to your pantry when eaten early in the day red pepper lowers the amount of food youll eat later

    stay up all night until 6, eat normal if you can eat at all .. XD you're gonna get slim :p

    add 10 percent to the amount of daily calories you think you re eating

    if you have a seperate room keep small useful exercise equipment use those equipment while reading and listening songs
