Questions about Westlake Highschool in Austin Texas?
I'm a homeschooler who will be attending Westlake Highschool next school year as a Sophomore in Austin. I've been homeschooled since the fifth grade and I've never really experienced MIddle school let alone HIgh school. It would be nice to know what to bring for my first day. Also, How does Phy Ed work? Do I have a locker ? Also if someone could explain what A and B days are that would be good. Oh, and I'm really not sure what classes to take. I've already taken Calculus I and II but I've only had Middle school writing. I've finished AP Bio and 1 semester of Physics. Oh, and do you sign up for classes?

You'll probably be reasonably ahead in your math and science courses for sure. A and B days are used in block scheduling, usually meaning you'll go to certain classes on day A and certain classes on day B. Physical Ed in high school is pretty simple (or at least was at my school), you'll usually just do whatever the teacher says whether it be play basketball or run a mile, you also will most likely have a locker. I'm sure you'll have an adviser who will help you the first day or you might want to talk to he/she before hand to figure out what classes you will take.

once you're fascinated in zazen, I unquestionably have a buddy on the Austin Zen middle who says that that's outstanding. I stay on the East Coast, and that i'm only a begining student, so i can no longer help you out too a lot, yet i am going to link to the positioning for you. best of success!
