Muslims: about the Boston Bomb...?

A Saudi National was taken into custody for this bombing. This person is a muslim.

How do you feel about what he allegedly did?

Why do you think he did it?

Was it justified?

What good will it accomplish?

Do you support what he did?

If you disagree with his means, do you agree with his goal?

Update:

When so-called Christians blow up abortion clinics, all of Christendom is outspoken about condemning the action both officially and colloquially. When Muslims commit violence, you can hear a pin drop.

Update 2:

I suppose some of you do not go through the yahoo home page WHICH DISPLAYS THE NEWS in order to get here. I'm not posting a link if you're that uninformed. This incident has been ubiquitous in the news.

I'm not muslim, but I have a question for you. What do you think about the Christians who blow up abortion clinics?

There are fanatics in just about everything. Religion is no different. The Muslim bomber and Christian bomber are both at the extreme spectrum of their religion. Some Christians murder abortion doctors because they say the doctor is a murderer. Yet, the bible says we should not kill at all!

Muslims use the Quran. It's like a bible to them. Though some fanatics misinterpret it, most practice the traditional teachings and are just trying to be good people, like you and I. Actually, most Muslims are ashamed of the fanatic groups, and say they are NOT Muslim. Isn't that what we, Christians, say about cults like the Manson family?

The point is this. You should not blame all Muslims for the actions of some. Everyone has the right to believe how they want, as long as it doesn't hurt anybody else. Pointing fingers and being disrespectful, will surely turn them away from Christianity for good. And many Muslims believe the bible is at least partially accurate.

Remember the example of the good Samaritan in the bible? (Luke 10:25-37) Samaritans and Jews generally despised each other, but the Samaritan helps the injured man. Jesus is described as telling the parable in response to a question regarding the identity of the "neighbour" which Leviticus 19:18 says should be loved.

Showing love for ALL people, without prejudice or contempt is what Jesus was relaying with the parable of the good Samaritan. Doing that would give God a good name, and prove God is loving!

Edit: We should wait to see who really is responsible. We don't know anything yet.

I do remember reading something about a suspect who was "Saudi", but when I looked again, it was gone. I thought I might have been mistaken...now I am wondering if it was hushed up.

Funny, isn't it, how, when something like this happens, the first people we suspect are Muslims.

I can remember when it used to be "Commies"...

The thing is, we get into this "blame game" and we forget what is important...the families who are in mourning tonight.

Whatever happened in Boston, it was horrible for the people involved. Rather than looking for someone to blame, let's pray for those who lost loved ones, or who were injured.

And may God have mercy on us all...

The last news report I saw indicated the police had a "person of interest" in the hospital. This person was severely burned. So, either he was a really lousy terrorist, or he was a victim. I will respect President Obama's request to, "not rush to judgment." Now, just in case this was the work of a Muslim extremist, I have a message for the Muslim community. You may quote me. The Muslims will stop attacking Americans, when they learn to love their children more than they hate Americans.

The only bad feedback on the Boston Bombing I`m getting is from Westboro. I`d sooner believe them for being responsible than another typically muslim terrorist. Wait until the officials decide what they dictate the case to be made of before judging it so soon, second-hand. Even then, officials usually do things to pin something on particular groups, like in the red scare.

Its prejudice and stereotypical thinking on views against muslims. I know for a fact that Islam opposes the use of violence and destruction against anyone!!! So for anyone who has prejudice views maybe you should look into the religion more or shut your mouth or jump off a cliff! What you need to do is look for evidence before you jump to conclusions you need to stop making muslims a target for everything!!!!

Monica it would be nice if you could provide a link to this incident. Also Monica, good questions but I doubt you will get answers to them. If you want answers read the koran. Here is a link to a site that gives you quotes from the koran. Read it carefully to understand why these incidents happen. For instance the koran demands a war against all non believers which is called jihad. But you can read about it here: www.truthbeknown.com/islamquotes.htm

The report is false if someone was taken into custody it would have been all over CNN and the news.

I call liar. there is nothing on the net about anyone being taken into custody

The last thing we need now is people spreading hate in this time of pain and confusion. Keep your bigotry to yourself

ok, the NY post is claiming (despite police statements to the contrary) a Saudi is being questioned because he was there. He is NOT in custody

aw crap who am I kidding, he probably did it....

Being detained does not equal being guilty, or even being charged for that matter. At this point we still have no clue who did it.

    Typical anti-Muslim bigotry.

If you knew anything about Muslims (and by the looks of it, you don't) you would know that the overwhelming majority of Muslims detest violence, regardless of whether or not a Muslim did it.

If you want to attack Islam do it on theological grounds, but I suspect you won't because you realize they use all the same arguments as you fundies.
