Duronto Express is a Non Stop Train from source to destination, only technical halt were to change staff and loading Food/Drinks etc. All Duronto Express trains can be easily recognised by the characteristic yellow-green livery of their passenger coaches.

Features in Duronto:

Duronto Trains are known as the trains that travel from Point to Point. Though there are technical stops given for every Duronto except one or two which travel short distance. The technical halt is given for crew change and taking of dinner,breakfast, lunch etc. These trains are faster than Rajdhani on many routes. These trains also use LHB Rakes which are German made.Not all the Duronto are LHB but most of them are. There are total set of 31 Duronto. Which is 31*2=62.

Duronto was introduced by Mamta Banerjee. These trains come into the premium trains of India like Shatabdi,Rajdhani in this the cost of food is included in ticket itself. There are highest 13 Duronto from Delhi, 11 from Mumbai.In this the ticket cannot be booked for intermediate station. You can book ticket only for start to end station. In this type of trains the food cost is include for Sleeper Class Passengers also, but with limited benefits not like AC passenger .In 2 Duronto we have 3E class also which includes Side Middle Berth also namely Mumbai- Ahmedabad and Delhi - Lucknow Duronto . We have Chair Car Duronto also In this Nizamuddin- Ajmer Duronto alone have LHB Pure Coaches along with Second Sitting and 1 Chair Car.Remaining all Chair Car Duronto are Old Rakes of Shatabdi with Modified Rakes of Duronto Livery.

well these are the trains plying between major stations ( especially to major cities/metro's like the Rajdhani's to Delhi ) the rates are affordable and tickets include meals and the train is fully air-conditioned and yes they do have to stop for to refill the trains with bathroom water, loco change and transits which are all technical They are one of the fastest way for inter state travel hope that helps Cheers :).
