Why do some people not realize it when their rights are being stripped from them?

Because it is done little by little, in ways people don't pay attention, and often in the name of making people 'safe'. The TSA is a prime example. And the excuse would be if one is offended then don't fly.

As Ben Franklin stated, those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.

And over the years, the Fourth Amendment has essentially been gutted to be worthless.

And a great deal of rights have been lost in the name of fighting against terrorism. There seems to be a mentality if one thinks they do nothing wrong, they have nothing to fear.

rights are just Guidelines...you can honestly do anything you want.

if you feel like stomping on a pregnant ladies head, a piece of paper with a list of ideal rules humans should abide by (in a politicaly correct way) doesnt have a lot of stopping power.

Human rights are a bunch of rules little men who were greatly influenced by soft hearted women made up so EVERYONE would get along...or at leas tthe majority.

Look down at your arms....do you see them chained up? didnt think so! Rights are an idea and nothing more.

however you can try doing what ever you want...but the oppressive government will snet its forces after you to stop you..

if you could beat those forces (which would take about a billion dollars and some very desperate loyal soldiers) then your rights are as good as you say they are.

And people in general dont seem to realise that when divided they have the amount of ''rights'' as whatever the white collar government dictator in office DECIDES.

but if they were to rise up in a physical sense...then they could demand their rights back and not a single colla rshirt would dare say no.

because the admin now wins them over with their smiles and fancy speaches written by professionals and not themselves. If you ask me, no speaches from our president come from the heart because he does not even write them. But they win the public over then pull the rug out beneath them. the only thing smart ones like us can do is prepare ourselves.
