    The Mayones.

    Why? A few reasons.

    1) It is a handmade guitar, not a production line guitar.

    2) The features and options are superior to the Gibson.

    3) I know you know your guitars at least as well or better than me. It would amuse you as much as me to ask a question like this to mess with the noobs who think the big name companies always make the best instruments.

You and I both know there are tons of smaller guitar companies out there that make instruments that blow away the big name guitar companies' best efforts. Often for less money.

The next 2 guitars I plan on buying are a Hagstrom Ultra Swede, and a Caparison Horus. I may look into the company that makes the guitars you linked to as well. I'd never heard of them, and they seem to make good stuff. If they make Misha Mansoor's signature model, I'm sure they are quality guitars (he doesn't seem like a guy who would play junk because they gave it to him for free).

To the kid that thinks Gibsons are the best guitars in the world: I would rather have a $2,500 Caparison than a $4,700 Gibson any day. Gibsons are massively overrated and overpriced for the guitar that you get. If you look, it isn't hard to find a better guitar for half the price.

Source(s): I know my stuff as well as the asker.
