What province(s)/region of Canada call soft drinks pop, not soda or coke?

I've been across the country twice.

Coke is Coca Cola.

Pop is the usual name, no matter where you go.

Soda is rarely used, that's more of an American term.

Soft drinks is a term used by older Canadians.

As far as I know, "pop" is used everywhere.

The food service industry often refers to them as "soft drinks" on menus and whatnot.

"Soda" shows up now and then, but it's not common...it's usually viewed as an American word.

"Coke" always refers to Coca Cola. I have only ever heard one person use that word to describe all soft drinks, and he was an immigrant from Texas. If not for that one Texan guy, I would have no idea that people in other places use the word "Coke" that way.

Anyone I've ever talked to throughout Canada says 'pop'.

Coke means Coca-Cola.

Soda...Don't recall ever hearing someone refer to pop as soda. I live close to the border (with Buffalo) and even hear on their radio stations people say pop.

Most places I've ever gone in Canada have called it "pop." "Soft drink" and "soda" are also used interchangeably sometimes (I guess they're more the "technical" terms). "Coke" refers to a specific type of drink (Coca-Cola or at least Cola in general), so I would not say it's synonymous with the other three terms.

All of them. Soda or coke are American terms. the only exception is if we are actually referring to "Coke".

Everybody calls pop, pop... That's just what it is
