How do I know the correct SDD drive for my MacBook Pro??? HELP?

I have a MacBook pro early 2008. 2.5GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 2 GB of RAM... I'm interested to give it more bust!!! And I was thinking about installing a solid state drive in it. The main problem is that I don't know how to find a correct model to my laptop. All models that I find now are made for the new Macs.

I'm here asking: "is there a easy way to know if a solidstate drive is compatible with my macbook pro from 2008?"

I saw that the SSD that is inside the new macbook pro retina display is very small.... the size is completely different from the macbooks that come with regular HardDrive. I'm a little concerned about the pins to fit on the data cable.

this one is going to be compatible with my computer? Every SSD that has the discription saying that it is 2,5" is compatible with my laptop? Sorry about so many questions... but I don't know much about SSD drivers.

    You have a fairly older Macbook Pro compared to the new ones that were released in 2010+. The small SSD you are most likely describing are for the Macbook Air and Macbook Pro Retina. They use small propriety SSD so they can make the notebook smaller.

    Any older Macbook will only accept 2.5" SSD or you can use a mSATA SSD but it requires you to purchase an adapter too. All SSD that are 2.5" and use sata connection will work with your Macbook Pro 2008

    you do no longer desire the suited one for it, only chosen the suited one, i might advise a ocz vector, a samsung 830 or a sandisk severe ssd the macbookpro is a computer, so, it in basic terms has for 2.5 drives, all ssd's are 2.5 drives and sata connections, 2008 might of course mean that it must be sata front, so which you mustn't have problems with that.

    a 2.5 laptop ssd w/adapter might work because it is an older macbook
