How do you feel about this college professor being fired for demanding students pledge to vote for Obama?

Professor Sharon Sweet was fired from Brevard Community College after a school investigation concluded she required students to sign a pledge to vote for Obama in the run-up to the 2012 election. How do you feel about this college professor being fired for demanding students pledge to vote for Obama?

sounds like she should have been fired to me... that's ridiculous if it's true... stories that ridiculous rarely are true.. but occasionally they are...

EDIT: here is her side apparently... still seems pretty stupid...

"Brooks said that she was not aware that the Obama “pledge card” in question was, in fact, a pledge card. Sweet was participating in non-partisan voter registration on campus, and she was advocating that students vote – regardless of which presidential candidate they support.

Sweet was not paying attention to the message on the cards when she received them, only that she could spark interest in students becoming involved in the election.

“It never got through, it never dawned on her, that this was a pledge,” he said. “That wasn’t what she was trying to do.”

    He sounds a bit unbalanced.

College Professors tend to live in the "ivory tower" of acedamia and develop egos that make them feel as though they above everyone else intellectually, and can "profess" on any topic.

They are a real pain in the axx to be around.

Perhaps she was fired for stupidity more than anything else. I mean, as if she would be there watching over their shoulders in the booth. To think she could have any real impact with her pledge informs me that something wasn't right in the attic.

Good. As It should be. I'd be glad if they fired anyone making students pledge to vote for Romney too.

It's inappropriate conduct for a teacher but if she was fired, the entire faculty of all colleges and universities throughout the South, including Texas and Oklahoma, should be fired for teaching the GOP platform for credit.

Stories about teachers and professors doing this type of crap come out on a fairly regular basis yet, some still claim that they don't. Why is that?

I am sure some liberal school leader will hire her at the high school level recognizing her potential to further the far left agenda.

She should have been fired for making her personal political beliefs part of the course curriculum.

She should spend some time in jail as well. I'm sure Holder will get right on it.
