With that setup most likely, yes.. your graphics card isn't supported as it isn't a dedicated card.. you could try upgrading it if your laptop can handle a better one (some can't) here's a link to show you yours is the 4th in the list http://www.modthesims.info/wiki.php?title=Game_Hel... it has "No's" all the way across the board for EP's. It probably doesn't stand a chance with EP's like Pets and Seasons as those require very good cards. Your ram is quite good 4gb is really all you need but 8 is even better, your processor is decent too.. I'm assuming it has turbo boost? Just try upgrading the graphics card and you're good to go. Happy Simming.

I have an hp-pavilion dv7 entertainment laptop with AMD dual-core processor 2.50ghz, 6gb ram, and ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4650 series graphics card it has 1 or 2 gb of dedicated memory.. just use the list on modthesims I linked to so you can choose a good graphics card. I run the game on all high settings and it runs quite smoothly.. I do use a few of Twallans mods as well.. overwatch, errortrap, and master controller are great.

Not necessarily, EP's for sims rarely increase the graphical load, and thus should not make it worse. Loading times will probably be longer though.

Most of the lags and crashes are unrelated to hardware, and mostly because of The Sims Studio sloppy coding.

Anyway, you should install the sims booter, and fps limiter from this thread http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php?to...

The Sims 3's engine runs internally at 30 fps, but because of some horrendous reason it isn't capped by the game. So you'll waste processing power on pointless frames. The booter and fpslimiter should make the game more stable.

Depends Hom Much Memory You've Wasted On The Game And Also Your Own Laptop/Computer Memory
