Most badass movie character ?

Badass as in unstoppable determined, that sort of thing. Badder thatn let's say Anton Chigurgh or T-1000.I don't care hero or villain especially. Also, must be a movie character, not TV.

Update:

+1 for joker

gogo yubari i gotta check out.

Any others ?

Update 2:

to quasitroll, im looking not for someone necessarily powerful(although i can consider gandalf evil sometimes), but someone very intimidating and evil.

Update 3:

alex : characters, not actors

Update 4:

to hassan, i mostly agree, but denzel is much more intimidating in man on fire and training day, i think american gangster comes third

Update 5:

basketball guru: maximus as in gladiator ?

Update 6:

yup, hitgirl fits the profile

Update 7:

aamir, jabba the hut does't quite fit. just for being manipulated by han solo in ep 4 when they leave tattoine he loses points

Update 8:

ty aladdin, haven't seen that one

Nate, yep, AC sort of made me ask this question. How much more badass than AC can you get ?

Update 9:

Cherlynn, that's a novel character, i know there are also 2 movies, neither one fits. She is a strong and intriguing character, but not what i'm looking for

Max Cady, as played by Robert DeNiro in the 1991 version of "Cape Fear".

Watch the movie before you pass judgement.

Whoa, I admit this is a bad start here, but I MUST lobby for Chigurgh. He is so determined that his enormous Evil factor clashes with his one track mind to form Badass beyond comprehension, right down to a conversation within the movie about this exact subject. Woody said "determined" was more accurate, but still, they were discussing him as if he was some mythical legend even though he was hanging out across the street from them. The mere act of even opening that case was just as lethal as watching the Ring tape, shooting at Dirty Harry and taking a McLane hostage, all rolled into one. How much of a badass is he? After he was through with his mission his first move was to keep his promise to, well, kill someone. Listening to him trying to explain that to the victim was WTF enough. After that, he kills somebody while obeying traffic laws and walks away with a small sling treating a compound fracture.

I left stuff out. :-) Sorry, AC gets my vote by a mile.

Bane and the Joker. Maximus. Django from Django Unchained. Jason Bourne.

Gandalf. He can manipulate the sunrise and smite a smoke and fire monster (too bad he wasn't on the island with the Losties!)

Django - haven't seen a good pistoleer in a long time.

I'll second Go-Go, although (not to spoil it), hers is not a particularly lengthy part.
