How do you remove the rubber from Beer and Soda caps?
I've collected about 100 beer and soda caps, the little tin ones. I'd like to turn them into jewelry, necklaces, bracelets, etc. I'd like to remove the little round rubber circle on the insides of them. I think it's called a HEPA seal. I've tried burning them but that only blackens the caps and doesn't really remove the rubber, I've tried pulling them off with pliers but they're stuck on too good.

Mineral spirits should melt it out or maybe just heat it out. Another idea would be a parting agent like Naptha
