  • How do I revoke a signature from a document?

I went to a doctor's office and they insisted I sign some paperwork that says I agree to pay them extra money? Even though my insurance covers the entire office visit, and I have a $0 deductible. Now they are sending collectors after me for $1,000. I think what they did is illegal and I want to know what my options are.

  • What can I do about a thief in the family?

Someone close to me has on several occasions stolen from me, I have no means of securing all of my possessions from her.prying, thieving fingers. She has invented stories that I have stolen and sold her own possessions and uses that as a means to justifying her own actions to randomly take treasured photographs, jewelry, computer parts, and clothing items from me and hold them for ransom against the things she thinks I've stolen. Occasionally she gives these treasured items away to charity because she really believes I've taken her treasured worthless trash and sold it on EBAY only to have them turn up months later in her own room under a pile of shoes. I've never stolen from her, not once. At this point I've moved my jewelry collection to a trusted friend's house. I fear to leave the home to go work because she might take another photograph or some other treasured object. I'm not allowed to keep photos on my desk at work, and hauling around dozens of photos in my purse is impractical. Last week she took $20 in coins out of a coin collection I'd been accumulating for the past 14 years. Today she paid me $20 back in a cash bill and admitted to the theft, which I had been unaware of until tonight. I really think she's gone too far, and I need to find a way to stop her soon. I would like to know the right words to say to her to get her to stop.

  • How to get an appointment at a specialist when their office staff discriminates against you?

I have one specialist in my local area, and it's a 60 mile drive to go to his office. I've been their twice now trying to get my first appointment, I was referred to by my doctor but the office staff refuses to give me that appointment. I have called that office over 200 times now in a duration of 7 months and they still refuse to give me an appointment. I believe they are discriminating against me because of my race. What options do I have? Who do I complain too? I am White.

  • Lumpy Bathroom floor multiple issues including wooden tiles?!?

My bathroom floor leaks water all over the place, the previous owner did a poor job installing the shower and bathtub, and I'm in the position of needing to rip everything out, including the floor and trying to do it over again. Under the vinyl covering I found layers upon layers of interlocked 6x6 rotting wooden tiles. WTF? Ripping them up is hard, and many are swollen from water damage causing a very lumpy floor. I'm not sure what to make of this, I can't find anything like this situation in any DIY book or video. I talked to my dad about it and he's certain it's 'high quality' flooring and that ripping it all up would be a mistake. Even if it causes a rainshower in the room below. We really want to just refurb the floor, make it super-nice with marble tiles, and put an end to the crazy rainshowers so we can fix the ceiling and wall-water damage in the room below it. A very nice DIY guide or blog posting would be appreciated on this matter.

  • my neighbor thinks I'm a vampire?

My neighbor thinks I'm a vampire, I laughed off the accusation but now I'm a little concerned for my safety because my accuser (a teenager) said this with dead seriousness, and holds a cross at me every time she walks out of her house.

How can I protect myself? How do I convince her that I am not a vampire or a threat to her at all?

  • Gardening: Can I plant peppers with strawberry?

Looking for an experienced gardener who has done both peppers and strawberries. Here's my problem, I'm doing raised gardens, 2nd year. I have a well-established strawberry plant in one bed, it's already producing flowers, and it's a bit scraggly because it seems like shade best. I was thinking of planting pepper plants with the strawberry to provide some shade and cover for the strawberry to survive. Here's my concern: will one of these plants strangle the other?

  • Just Married: Organization & violence woes?

I moved in with him, and he had his shirts all over the floor, so I picked them all up, washed them, ironed the nice ones and put them into the dresser and closet, as well as putting my stuff away also. He couldn't find one thing, threw a major temper tantrum and before I could help him, he went through both the dresser and closet, threw everything on the floor including all of my dresses and nice things into a huge pile and still couldn't find it and decided to hit me several times.

He was NEVER like this threw 3 years of dating and engagement. He was always a gentlemen, I just don't know what to do, we haven't been married for more than a month! I just want to cry, should I ask for divorce, it just seems all wrong!

  • In nuclear chemistry how do you determine if an element has no neutrons?

I know that a + means the element has a positive charge, and a - means the element has a negative charge, but how and when does an element have no neutrons at all?

  • In nuclear chemistry How do you solve for electrons?

I understand that electrons are based on positive and negative, and the neutral ones are the same as protons. Negative charged elements have more electrons than protons, positive charged elements have less electrons than protons, but how do you find the exact number when given an element?

  • In chemistry how does one determine the following in isotopes and elements?

I am specifically looking into learning how for any element on the periodic table with an isotope one person may determine the following: Mass number? Number of electrons? nuclear charge of +15? has no neutrons, has no electrons, has a number of neutrons twice that of electrons, has a number of nuetrons twice that of protons? has ten electrons? has an equal number of protons, neutrons, and electrons? has a number of electrons equal to that of neutrons, but different than that of protons? has a number of neutrons (other than zero) which is less than the number of protons?

This is a homework question. I do not want you to answer the question for me, because then I won't learn how to do it myself which is why I am not specifiying the isotopes or elements directly involved. I want something that can be used and applied to all of the above problems. I am a visual learner, and reading it out of a textbook is just not helping at all.

  • Where can I buy delicate small nails?

I have a box with some nails missing from the hinges. I would presume they are jewelry box sized nails or the smallest, where can I buy/find more? Can you show me an online location as I doubt my hardware store would stock them?

  • Man am I embarrassed! Vitamin removal help? please?

I realized today that a grocery store brand of vitamin has betrayed and lied to me. The packaging says that I should daily take 2 tablets totally 1,000 mg, which I did for 2 weeks. However, after feeling 'off' for the last couple of days I double-checked that online, the correct dosage is 5 mg a day. I don't want to go to the hospital if I can avoid it. How do I remove 140,000 mg of cobalt aka. Vitamin B12 from my body at home?

I am not presently sick with any condition that would require such a massive quantity of cobalt in my body.

  • How do you remove the rubber from Beer and Soda caps?

I've collected about 100 beer and soda caps, the little tin ones. I'd like to turn them into jewelry, necklaces, bracelets, etc. I'd like to remove the little round rubber circle on the insides of them. I think it's called a HEPA seal. I've tried burning them but that only blackens the caps and doesn't really remove the rubber, I've tried pulling them off with pliers but they're stuck on too good.

  • When I turn my sink on the sprayer blasts first how do I fix this?

When I turn my sink on, no water flows from the faucet, instead it sprays out of the sprayer, but the sprayer is off. Once I pick up the sprayer, and spray into the sink, the faucet then turns on but starts humping and thumping rapidly. I have already attempted a 16 minute system flush and while this seemed promising it hasn't resolved the issue.

  • How to escape a psychological pattern?

I have realized that I have been repeating the same psychological pattern for the past 10 years, maybe longer. How do I break this cycle?

I find myself at a pinnacle of joy and happiness, I am surrounded by friends and family. I feel safe, secure, and happy. I look forward to the fun to come. As soon as I reach this point I immediately crash into extreme depression. I can't look at friends in the face without being overwhelmed with an urge to cry, and extreme suicidal/depressive thoughts including self-inflicted injuries. I want to hurt myself, and loved ones. So I seclude myself from every one until I can reach a state of calm. If this means quitting my job and hiding in my apartment then that's what it takes.

I push everything and every one away from me. I become extremely secluded and anti-social. I start avoiding the friends I used to look forward to hanging out with. I put all of my emotions on shut down and become emotionless again. This part takes about 2 years.

Then I become lonely, I wonder why I am so lonely, what did I do with my friends, and I feel sad, depressed, sorry for myself. But usually by then my friends have forgotten me, or they barely say hello when I do track them down. So I clean myself up, I get a new job, new neighborhood, new apartment and I start all over again but umm, today I realized I was nearing the pinacle of happiness part, and I don't want to lose another set of friends again.

So if you can help me, please do so.
