Gardening: Can I plant peppers with strawberry?

Looking for an experienced gardener who has done both peppers and strawberries. Here's my problem, I'm doing raised gardens, 2nd year. I have a well-established strawberry plant in one bed, it's already producing flowers, and it's a bit scraggly because it seems like shade best. I was thinking of planting pepper plants with the strawberry to provide some shade and cover for the strawberry to survive. Here's my concern: will one of these plants strangle the other?

Update:

The peppers are going to be large bell orange, green, and red peppers.

Peppers and strawberry don't go well with one-another. Go for separate pots for each plant. Also strawberries don't really mind the sun as long as the soil doesn't stays dry for to long.

Also, strawberries tend to fade by the end of summer, its a seasonal plant, same as the peppers. Give them good sunlight, lot of water and plant them in individual pots and things will go as planted.

some comments. do no longer evaluate your strawberries subject loose. Slugs loves those berries and mites will commonly connect themselves decrease than the leaves and suck them til they're ineffective. in simple terms save a watch on them for the two so which you would be able to head off issues earlier they start. Your maters and peppers would desire to do high quality in case you supply them some fertilizer. They the two have comparable feeding desires. in case you have room, attempt some candy corn. that's a variety of issues that in simple terms can't be beat sparkling. Do undergo in recommendations that many herbs are perrenials and would choose their own backyard area
