Survey: how easy is electric guitar self learning? (out of 10)?

Not easy. You have to learn notes. You can watch online lessons I guess. I took private lessons a few times (boy was it expensive), and the guitar is just not for me.

You also have to tune it, which will take a while to get a hang of... I'm really bad at tuning instruments, haha.

On how easy to learn, I'd rate it a 4, meaning not easy but possible if you watch a lot of stuff on youtube..

I learned how to play rather quickly when I was 15. I bought a cheap Yamaha guitar and could play just about any rock song by the time I was 16. I still to this day struggle with classical finger-style playing though.

By yourself? Probably 9 1/2. However, if you look up youtube tutorials or lessons or get books to teach yourself from, then probably more like 6. Good luck!
