what is the illuminati?

You haven't heard of the illuminati? Wow.

The illuminati is 'them', that group of people who control everything but won't even admit their own existence. They're the super-secret (even though everyone and their little sister knows of them) ultra-powerful shadow government that rules all our lives with an iron fist. They're behind absolutely everything, no exceptions. They set up terrorist attacks, start wars, end wars, start & end revolutions and revolts, control the international economy, and (the evil of all evils) cancel TV shows mid-season. They do all that stuff just because they can, and they really don't like you.

Maybe you have heard of them, because they weren't always called that. They actually started out as Big Brother, and they weren't as big back then. That was at the start of the Cold War, so they only looked after allied countries and those dirty commies had to fend for themselves. Then they changed their name to New World Order after the fall of communism (which they staged, by the way), but then Hulk Hogan stole the name and used it for a wrestling group. So then (because nobody wants to mess with Hogan) they changed their name to illuminati. But they kept the secret symbols, because one of them was smart enough to file the papers for a legal copyright.

Their secret symbol is the Evil Eyeball Of Ancient Egypt, every teen-pop celebrity is a member, and their job as an organization is to sit around in secret and think of evil stuff to do. Because they operate in secret, everything they do has to be endlessly elaborate and needlessly complicated. But they always leave little clues to let you know it was them, because they love messing with those guys in the tinfoil helmets who want to expose them. They know nobody ever believes those guys, so they let them rant and rave all they want.

Does any of this sound completely ridiculous to you? Good... now you're getting the idea of what the illuminati really is. It's a children's fantasy and nothing more, but some people take it really seriously.

In truth, the Illuminati were a very minor men's club in Bavaria that hasn't existed for over 200 years, but the Illuminati-believers will deny that because they've never done any actual reading.

People claiming to possess special enlightenment or knowledge of something.

That comment is used out of context. A lot of people nowadays do not now what a 'Illuminati' is and claim it is a devil worshiper; these people are wrong.

some people say illuminati only existed 200 years or so ago and think it's plain stupid to think they still exist and they used to be a secret society wanting to rule the world and bring the 'new world order'

others helieve that thy are still around or atleast 'illuminati puppets' are still around which do things for tge illuminati pretty much like a puppet,many say that in popular songs by people such as jay-z,rihanna,beyonce,katie perry,eminem,lil wayne etc.. do things called 'back masking' in their songs which os badically satanic messages played backwards to control our minds,people say illuminati killed michael jackson because he tried to get out of illuminati,his own sister 'janet jackson' even said in an interview that they killed him!...why do celebrities even do this?because that was their way of getting fame,people even say barack obama uses back masking in his speaches!yes,barack obama and people say boston bombing was an act of illuminati,some how...and conecticut shooting was apparently fake and an act of illuminati but the modern illuminati is pretty much the same concept,a secret society...not very secret i must say but yea,illuminati want the new world order,they want to brain wash us,this is a long explanation i know,i went over board...

i believe illuminati exist and they are brain washing us in tv programs,music and stuff search the all seeing eye and search 'subliminal messages in songs' in google!! go on see if you believe it
