18.1 PPG (most by a reserve since Ricky Pierce in 1990), 5.3 RPG, 2.7 APG, 1.7 SPG, and five 30+ point games off the bench this season.
Former Knick and 6th man of the year winner, Jamal Crawford was also a good candidate but I think Smith edges him out.16.5 PPG, 2.5 APG, 1.7 RPG, 1 SPG, and one 30+ point game off the bench this season.

I would of voted for Jamal Crawford but hey congrats to JR Smith who is a vital part of the Knicks team

well deserved. I thought Jamal Crawford was gonna win it, but the Knicks wouldn't be where they are without J.R.

I think he deserved it too. He led all bench players in PPG at 18, was the Knicks 2nd leading scorer behind Carmelo Anthony, and he hit a lot of big shots for the Knicks this year.

I wanted Jarrett Jack to win it, but Smith's a good choice too. Really, you couldn't have gone wrong with any of the top three candidates (smith, jack, crawford).
