ps3 issue: my hdmi cable isnt working?
it worked yestreday and the days before that, but this time it isn't working at all, no sound no nothing.
Some info: it works perfectly on my laptop. Also, my HDMI cable is rocketflesh, and its alittle bit loose when plugged on the ps3, but easily accomplished by putting a small deck of cards or a gum back under it. Which i did.

Have you gone to >SETTINGS>DISPLAY SETTINGS>VIDEO OUTPUT SETTINGS>HDMI then followed all the further tick boxes?
That should sort the problem out

if it works on the laptop that doesn't mean anything. The laptop HDMI input is not true HDMI. It is input only, with no output. That means the pins within the cable that are meant for output could be damaged and not work on the ps3, while still working on the laptop. However, more than likely, your HDMI port on the PS3 is damaged.
