First, I'd add the cities in which my family and friends live, so when I'm in touch with them I can see the weather they're experiencing.
Next, I'd add the cities I'm planning to visit in the near future - on business, on vacation, whatever. I can delete these after I've been there.
I'd add those cities that are on my 'bucket' list of places to go, again deleting when I've been there.
And finally, I'd add the cities that I know I probably won't ever get to, but would like to experience, at least vicariously. This is probably the group I'd add as my time, money, health intrudes.

Oklahoma City, OK. That is where one needs accurate weather forecasts, to keep an eye on
storms. (closest big city to my town). Storms head east from here.
Washington D.C. Our nations capital. Could get a general view of all my east coast friends
& family from that location.
The third one would be perhaps Frankfort,Germany. About in the center location of the
European Union. A major transportation terminal. That app location could give me a peek at
what the weather is like going on in Europe. ( good for knowing the weather conditions there
for any friends or family, visiting or working there...or just wondering about people on the
other side of the Atlantic Ocean.

The first two would be Sherbrooke, QC (where I live) and Montreal, QC (where I'm from and where my parents live). Secondly, I would include at least the following cities among others: Halifax, Ottawa, Toronto, Winnipeg, Calgary, Prince George, Vancouver, Victoria, Los Angeles, London (UK), Stavanger, Moscow, and Almaty. I have friends and/or family in all these cities, and it's nice to know what kind of weather they're having.

The cities I would add my weather app would be the city I am living in because the weather on the news is too dramatic, they said (this Winter) that my area would have a big snow in January, but we only got flurries while the other part of the state got about an inch... still not that big. I would get my vacation spot for this summer (Disney World) because it makes me look forward to the weather I will be in =)

I'd add-
London- Because that's where I used to live, and I think it's such an inspirational place.
Cardiff- Because that's where I live now, and it's so beautiful, as you'd expect from Wales.
Ottawa- Because my best friend lives there, and I miss her so much, and it's nice to see good weather everyday on my tablet, when it's usually raining here.
And Rio de Janeiro, because that is the most beautiful and multi-cultural place I've ever seen, there's so much going on, and so much to see. The locals are amazing to, so friendly and helpful!

I would want to add a city or town in Brazil or in the Caribbean area. This is for more than one reason. One reason is that the weather is VERY nice down there and I would like to compare the weather to what I have. This would be a fun hobby. It may also be cool to do this during the storm season to see how bad it can get down there. I love knowing what it is like in places other than mine. This would be interesting, fun thing to do.
