    a) (343 x 15.8) = 5,419.4 metres (5.4194km).

    b) NO. The time for the light to reach you is so small as to be insignificant, the difference between measured light speed in air and the figure you were given is actually erroneous anyway. It's a little slower than that.

    Distance = 343 m/s x 15.8 s = 5419 m and no you don' t need the speed of light.

    5,350 m from the stroke (forget relating to the cost of light element, it only took 0.01s to be triumphant in you under the precision goven for the time it took the sound to be triumphant in you or the cost of the sound)
