Why are people always looking at me?

It is quite confusing to me.

I have been noticing this for a few months now. I'm out and about attending to business and my only means of transportation is the bus.

I often notice it on buses or while at the bus stop. I will be just minding my own business and without even looking at them first, I notice from the side of my eye a person turning their head at me. Sometimes doing double or even tripple takes. Sometimes people talk to me but usually they don't say anything.

There were these 2 strange occurrences. The first one, a Nun was on the bus a few seats away and with one look at me, freaked out and started praying with her Rosary. Then the second one I was at a store with my mom and she spilled her soda. So I asked an employee for paper towels and he freaked out and handed me the roll to do it myself. He seemed to have an anxiety disorder.

I am single and go out alone. Is it strange or something to go out by myself when others also go out alone too? Nowadays I seem pretty scared and wasn't like this when my ex was around or when in the company of others.

I also have noticed when I go out to eat, the employees are getting my order right and if they make a mistake, correct it right away. Sometimes while looking nervous. Others seem to be overly nice.

So what could be the case? I Googled myself under several nicknames and found nothing bad. Only the stuff I posted. People hardly ever pay attention to that stuff anyways because most of my profiles except one don't have my face pictures.
