Silicon has an enthalpy of fusion of 50.2 kJ/mol and a melting point of 1414 degrees celcius. What is the entropy of fusion for Silicon?
Alrighty, so I'm really stuck on this question.
Here's what (I think) I know:
I use Delta(G) = Delta(H) - (T)Delta(S)
I realized I'm looking for Delta S (entropy) so I don't know what to do there.
I can rearrange the formula into: Delta(S)=Delta(H) - Delta(G) / (T)
But I don't have Delta (G)...
Aaaand the reaction is NOT spontaneous.
Please help. Please. Thanks in advance.

For an equilibrium process (such as melting),
delta S = delta H / T = 50,200 J / 1687 K = 29.8 J/K
