If a guy (friend) tells you not to trust him anymore ... HELP?

If a guy best friend tells me, he needed me and would never leave me.

Then says, he only said that to make me happy and I shouldn't trust him anymore.

Does that mean he no longer wants to be friends ??

    No, he probably still likes you. Chances are he isn't sure he can be with you without betraying you, and that's probably the last thing he wants to do to you.
