Is PETA is Good Source of Information?

I am writing an argumentative paper about animals being used for scientific research and experimentation. I am having a hard time finding good information that can be used for this paper. I am only in 8th grade, so I'm not looking for information that is hard to understand. So far, the PETA website seems to be providing a lot of information that I can use for this paper. However, I have heard that PETA is not a good source of information and shouldn't be trusted. Is this true? I don't mind that it takes one side instead of looking at both point of views. That actually helps me a bit. What I am asking is whether or not the information there is true and has been proven. Can I trust the information given on the PETA website? If not, where else could I go for reliable information on this topic.

Thank you all for your help!

:)

PETA's information is skewed and biased and, in most cases, can't be backed up. They believe that just because you "confine" an animal, you're abusing them, but they don't understand that we have removed a lot of natural defense mechanisms they need to protect themselves, and would die quickly if turned loose.

If you go to Google and type in AVMA animal testing, you'll get links to the American Veterinary Medicine Association and they have a lot of good, solid information there, and I'm sure they have links as well.

    Good luck with your paper.

I consider they exaggerate to get their factor throughout. But if they have got movies that show animals being mistreated, i'd bear in mind that to be riskless. I imply, what are they going to do, go to Hollywood and have some specific results man make fake animals for them? Should you use PETA as a supply I believe that may be k, but try to get some understanding from different sources as good.

PETA lies. According to PETA you abuse your pets simply because you own them and care for them.

If you want information about animals in research, use the American Medical Association and American Vet associations instead.

PETAs information comes from whistleblowers who work in labs, so it is reliable... PETA isn't the only org who opposes animal testing... check out these sites...
