I am the same way. My heart races everytime I have to give a speech or read anything in class. My best advice is to just be confident. Pretend like they arent there. It's best if you have an I-don't-give-a-f*ck attitude (Pardon my language). You may not get the best grade that way, but atleast it helps get rid of some of the nervousness. Good luck!

Realize that even actors become extremely nervous when playing a part - it happens to everyone! There are a few techniques that you can use to calm yourself down such as using breathing techniques (slow deep breath in, slow breath out), mental imagery (focus your mind on a memory that makes you happy or calm like a sunset or someone you have a crush on), chewing peppermint gum (peppermint is a natural relaxer, although make sure you spit the gum out before doing your presentation lol). Presenting is an art form so see yourself acting out the part to entertain your audience and your teacher (as opposed to worrying about you only). Practice your composition so you have it down and know that your teacher is asking you to read it because s/he thinks you have something important to share with others. Good luck!
