Poll: do you think Margaret thatcher should have had a state funeral?

Yes I do. And I think that my country, America, should have ordered its flags lowered to half-mast and closed all federal offices at the news of her death.

No. She was an excellent leader - the greatest peacetime prime minister - but she did not want a state funeral, so it was right that her wishes were respected. She was certainly deserving of a state funeral, though.

By my recollections SHE did have one ......

And NO i dont think she deserved one at the expense of the English tax payers . personally

i think the ordinary english person endures more than enough thru poll tax .water rates .

and enforced taxes without having to pay for the burial of M. Thatcher .

The estimated cost came to 3 & 1/2 million pounds at not the original 10 million as first thought .......

Her funeral was fine the way it was, it worked and the police were able to keep out the thousands of protestors

She shouldn't of had any funeral
