    Favorite Answer

-who would you speak to if there was a problem

    **The director**

-how you should communicate with parents

    **Speak to them**

    -favorite thing about your job

    **2-3 y.o's are hilarious**

-least favorite thing about your job

**So many things...the director, the parents, the poop, the pee, the puke, the stickiness, the noise**

-what should you wear for the job

**Anything comfortable and washable. I like legging and a t-shirt**

-are the kids hard to take care of

**Sometimes, especially if you don't know what you're doing and don't have a plan in advance**

-what kind of schooling do you need

**None. You can be a functional idiot to take care of kids. I have a Master's Degree. The pay will be the same regardless**

-How important are grades/GPA for obtaining a job in this field

    **Not important at all**

-how old were you when you started working in this business

    **32**

-Could you describe one of your typical workdays for me

**Morning calm, rushed crabby parents, crying kids, quiet play, morning songs, outside play, snack, science, art, lunch, nap, outside, music, building/drama, story, snack, clean-up, free play, goodbye**

-What skills are required in your position on a day-to-day basis

**CPR, a good sense of humor, a fondness for children, and an ability to tune out their parents**

-How many hours a day do you typically work

    **8-9**

    If you haven't already answered:

-How would you describe the working atmosphere and the people with whom you work

**Some of the people are awesome and some are idiots. The atmosphere can range from top of the line new building and supplies to a church basement with nothing to work with**

-Do you have any advice for someone interested in this field

**If you want to make enough money to live...forget it. People don't care enough about their kids to pay for decent care. If you just love hanging with tiny people all day and wiping their noses and butts, feeding them, soothing them, and finding really inventive ways to teach them...then this is the job for you***

    and

-if you could, what would you change about your job

**Much, MUCH smaller child to teacher ratios and an unlimited budget. It would also be nice to be paid what my skills and time are worth.**
