Do i need to pay full price for a verizon phone?

Im switching from my dads phone service to my moms. they're both with verizon. I also need a new phone. Do i have to pay full price for a smartphone, or can i use the 2 year contract price?

    It depends if your line on your dad's account has completed your 2 year contract. If you are still on your contract then for sure you are not eligible for a upgrade and Verizon will not allow you to switch or move to another account into your mom's account. If you want a new phone then you will have to pay full retail price without any discounts.

    However, once you have completed your 2 year contract (for your line) under your dad's account then yes, Verizon will allow you to move your line into another account under your mom, and you will be eligible for a upgrade to a newer phone.
