What is the best PC laptop brand?
I am looking for a PC (meaning don't say mac). I will mostly be using it for school and maybe a little casual gaming (nothing hardcore), but I have a problem with certain laptop brands. I had a Toshiba, but it had to be brought in to be repaired I don't even know how many times. Recently the hard drive crashed, so I really don't think I'll be buying another Toshiba. I know that there are people in love with HP, but almost everyone I know who has had an HP has had their computer fall apart on them, so I don't think I'll be getting an HP either. Any suggestions?

Well that's a dumb question because there is no such thing as a "best PC laptop" sorry but all PCs are junk and only last a few days before they A. Crash B. Blow up C. Freeze or D. just drive you crazy because they are so slow. Macs are the best possible computers you could possibly get. I know you said that you aren't interested in Macs but please at least consider it. They are so much better than PCs, A. they are better looking B. they are super fast C. have easy to use programs D. they never freeze, crash, blow up, or drive you crazy, E. get great costumer service (unlike PCs where you talk to an answering machine for an hour) F. don't get annoying pop up messages, and there is a whole lot more, I could go on forever. So before you go off and buy a PC at least go to an Apple store and look around. You will be amazed! I'm just saying this because it is the honest truth talk to anyone who has ever owned a Mac they will just rave about how great it is, it's not just me who thinks this.

What is the best PC laptop brand?
The best place to buy cheap Laptop Computers online is at Amazon.com
They have a massive collection of laptops from budget models all they way to portable gaming machines and premium business laptops.

They sell all the major laptop brands including Acer, Apple, Asus, HP, Lenovo, Samsung, Toshiba and Sony and of course you can trust Amazon to deliver
More expensive laptops either offer more features or greater portability than lower-priced models.
For example desktop replacements have all the features you'd want from a full-sized desktop PC, but they weigh a lot, and you wouldn't want to carry one around for long. Similarly, thin-and-light notebooks and bargain notebooks have a lot of the same features, but the thin-and-light models weigh less and often cost more.

When deciding how much laptop you can carry, consider the laptop's weight as well as the additional weight of a carrying case, an extra battery, any swappable drives you feel like bringing with you, a power cord, and networking cables.

Best PC you can get for the money would be an Alienware, but thats if you are willing to spend the cash.
On the otherhand.
Personally, I got a HP DV6 series laptop for like 900 bucks at best buy and it included 2yrs protection plan and a printer. I got it for college like 2 yrs ago. It runs great still, and it will run pretty decent games like sims and other games like that but not meant for running call of duty for example.
Check out the specs of the computer when you buy
For your needs i would recommend
Intel-corei5 or i7 processor (or AMD Athlon or better)
Windows 7 (skip windows 8, its more for like touchscreen devices.)
Ram of at least 2GB, but i recommend more (4,6 gb). Not 12gb or 8gb because that may be too much and not even use it
Graphics card- Depends, if you get intel HD 3000 or 4000 series it would be awesome, or even an NVIDIA graphics card but any standard one that comes with an i5 OR i7 processor should do the trick to run photoshop and things like that
HDD-500gb would suffice.
Again, look more for specifications.
Every brand has its good and bad products.
For desktops i would recommend getting Dell, and for Laptop HP, because HP has a better track record in laptops than desktops. Desktops suck for HP.
Cheers.

Ok so I understand that toshiba isn't the best and that they often break down but they are durable and long lasting laptop. I've had mine for 5 years and still runs great, only problem with mine is that the screen and disk drive broke. Other than that, Compaq isn't bad. They are good on playing small time video games like minimal minecraft play and diablo 1 2 3.

dell seems to be a good option,
though i personally donn't buy a laptop considering brand, even dell has made some crap models, and hp has made some great ones,
just check the reviews and go for the one which fits in your budget
