well to be honest I do dance /cheerleading and I have been doing that since I was 2. You can start if u want to but it really depends on your experience. Are u flexible? can u do splits and flips? Cheer leading is very competitive at 16. You also need to be aware when it comes to cheer routines its not just about being flexible. Can you keep up with the pace of the dance? do u have a high stamina?

While some start cheering at a very young age, starting at 16 isn't necessarily too late. It really all depends on the school or team for which you're trying out. The best way to find out is to talk with the coach of the team. Tell him/her about your skill level and concerns. The coach will be able to tell you what to expect and what you'll need to improve.

If you're doing all-star cheer, then you probably won't be on the same team as your friends since they've been doing it longer and they probably have more skills. Your level depends on what skills you have. I think you can do cheer for fun or even competitively at lower levels. You're never too old to start cheer! :) Maybe you can even join an open team after you reach the max age limit for club cheer. :D

Nope!! I started at 14. You just have to be dedicated and it helps to take cheerleading (not tumbling, cheerleading) classes . Cheerleading classes are for tumbling, stunting, jumps, motions, everything you need to know about cheerleading. :)

My friend got into cheerleading in 11th grade. It's possible so long as you're capable and in decent shape.
