In The Catcher in The Rye, why does Holden hate the F-word?

He swears frequently but seems to draw the line at the F-word as shown in chapter 25. Why is that?

    Because that word is written on walls where children might see. Holden is protective of innocence. He himself is not innocent (he thinks), but that small kids, who are not phonies, might be introduced to the hypocritical, deceitful, harsh world and so begin to lose their openness and innocence and genuineness is more than he can bear.
