Tips on keeping a white sweater from turning yellow?
Do any of you have tips on keeping white knits and sweaters from yellowing? Any special products or actions to take when washing? I'm not talking about just getting stains out, but also just to keep from (or slowing down) the fabric turning yellow. Thanks!

Yes, oxygenated bleaches like Chlorox 2 or OxyClean. This is especially important if your water has a lot of minerals, especially iron, in it. Chlorine added to drinking water and the iron in water will want to turn your whites yellow. Whink products introduced Iron Out back in the early 20th century for clothing yellows....it's still available but not commonly found. You could hand wash your sweaters in Forever New.........or something like that. Much like Woolite for hand washing. I don't bother, I wash gentle cycle with a bit of OxyClean.
