..did you mean the Accesory belt ? because the fan is electric. if this is the case i suggest to remove the wheel ,

    1. jack the van .

    2. put a safety tower.

3.remove plastic cover underneat , with plastic fasterners.

4.release the tensioner with the special wrench.

    5.replace the belt .

You included all the fundamentals beautiful well ,additionally be certain they install all new external materials that ought to get replaced like a water pump and radiator if needed, whatever that might cause it to go bad or overheat, and discuss all of this with them, ask various questions also like who did the engine and what limits there are to the warranty ,find out if mileage or age might be what gets the assurance first, anything that you can think of ask them,in view that like you stated dropping 4 grand in to a car for a brand new engine isn't convenient to come by,the transmission will have to be alright in it,the 3.0 is a good engine and if it was finished correct it's going to last a lot longer than the van will last, that's about all i will be able to feel of,just ensure that the guarantee isn't going to run out in a couple of months, you should get just a few years with that one, jasper presents a three year seventy five thousand mile assurance on all their engines and transmissions,so make sure your getting your moneys valued at from it,good luck on it.

This would be a wonderful opportunity to purchase a shop manual for your car. At around 20 bucks, it will pay for itself the first time you use it. I own around 30.

Quick steps. unhook negative terminal of battery. lift vehicle and secure it to jack stands. remove splash shield from around belt under car. place socket or wrench on belt tensioner under the car and rotate until belt can be removed. Replace new belt. Reverse all steps. It's not a hard job, but 2 people are a big help.
