How long does an Xbox 360 controller need to be inactive til it goes idle?

The Xbox 360 controllers go idle into sleep mode after a certain amount of time of inactivity. Does anyone know how long of time that is?

    After approximately 10-15 minutes, the controller will turn off. This will also turn of some headsets in a way that the volume will be low and your mic woun't be functioning.

    It's about 15 minutes.

    I think you can set when your controllers go in sleep mode.
